![]() If Kelsey Grammer can be Beast, I want to be Panthro. What's his name? Panthro! That's what I want to be when I grow up. ![]() My goal, when they make the ThunderCats movie, is that I want to be the blue dude. I wasn't into comic books, any of that stuff. In his ever-living desire to destroy the mighty ThunderCats, Mumm-Ra quests for a weapon that can rival the legendary Sword of Omens: He-Mans Sword of Power. Pride, excellence, and loyalty are a hallmark of what makes Panthro tick. He lives by the ThunderCats warrior code. On the other hand, he is a stone-cold warrior. With an infectious laugh, accompanied by a good sense of humor. While appearing at Fan Expo New Orleans last weekend, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier star Mackie revealed that when they do make a film based on Thundercats, then he would certainly like to be involved. On the one hand, he has great passion, love of family, and life. However, thirty years on and despite many rumors and false starts, the mythical prospect of a Thundercats movie is still something that remains out of reach. While the likes of Masters of the Universe managed to bring their hero He-Man to the big screen, Thundercats was an entirely different prospect, due mostly to the alien landscapes, monstrous mutants and the Thundercats themselves being something that, at the time, a studio budget would not stretch to with the amount of prosthetics and sets needed to make even a half decent movie. Like many of the most loved and remembered franchises of the 1980s, Thundercats came with an awesome toy line, badass cartoon series complete with epic theme song, and a promise that one day it could evolve into something bigger.
