This is a service-based pseudo-add-on type and is completely unrelated to the classical theming technology.Personas (also known as Lightweight Themes).There is a pseudo-sub-type known as an Icon Theme, which is a severely reduced version of a complete theme that only targets changing the toolbar icon set.A theme can simply change the colors of the UI or it can change every aspect of its appearance. Themes allow you to change the look and feel of the user interface and personalize it to your tastes. You can learn more about the specifics of extensions here. It is not recommended that anyone fork or create new extensions using this technology. Jetpack is considered deprecated in the scheme of UXP but a handful do target Pale Moon.This sub-type of extension also leverages Bootstrap technology to operate in a restartless way which can be confusing.Jetpack created with the so-called Add-ons SDK.Bootstrap (commonly refered to as Restartless Extensions).Overlay (historically called Toolkit Extensions). They allow you to customize the application to fit your own needs and preferences, while allowing the core itself light and lean. As such, there is an on-going effort to (re-)document them and you will see them here soon. There are many concepts when it comes to the add-on technology employed in UXP and used by Pale Moon. Add-ons are a hallmark of classical mozilla-style applications and as such a lot of this information not only applies to Pale Moon but to Basilisk and other applications based on the Unified XUL Platform.
